Stable value in Samsung hard drive. The slightly cheaper alternative to Evo and it does its job perfectly

Purchased as a second "storage" disk for a Gaming PC with the 970 EVO 500GB as the main one.
Very good performance for my usage and with the previous generation Samsung that I had for many years, there was never any problem.
I tried the Rapid mode from Samsung's software, but with the configuration I have (transfer from 970EVO to QVO), it made things worse. Maybe if the disk is alone and with more "burst" reads and writes, there might be a difference. But in my case, I disabled it.

Excellent disk at a very good price. I used it to upgrade the stock HDD of a PS4 Pro and the difference is enormous.

Very good value for money as a second disk in a system. Highly recommended for such use. Perhaps due to technology (QLC), it may have better long-term performance as a "game disk", meaning few writes, rather than for data or backups. For the same reason, I would not use it as a primary disk because operating systems make many writes, so its speed may be affected later. The warranty and quality of Samsung are another positive. Its speed is very good for its price, however, it is still early and I have not made many writes (I only have it for games), so I cannot speak about its durability over time, but I trust the company when it comes to SSDs.

If you want it to store files, I do not recommend it even for semi-professional (photographer) use. I have it in a gaming Lenovo laptop with a 16th generation, which had an Evo 750 250GB inside (I wanted more space so I wouldn't have to edit from an external hard drive). The boot time was around 25-30 seconds, it stayed the same, but the time for some applications increased by a few seconds. The writing time is terrible. If they are small files that fit in the SSD buffer, it transfers them at 2-3 GB with 250MB/s, but then it drops to speeds of 50-40, and I have even seen 20 for many small files. So I do not recommend it for serious use. The only good thing is the 1TB with 90+ Euros, but if you want to do a better job, it is better to get an Evo 860. Also, if you want to upgrade, Samsung does not offer any software like S.M.A.R.T. or boost performance, which it provides for all its other hard drives.

On ps4 for some months now.. Everything is fine, the upgrade is faster and all that, SSD on PlayStation!!! For storage or anything on a PC, probably very good, personally I have Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB for the operating system, maybe one category above SSD in the future..

It has been in my possession for a few days now, replacing my old OCZ 60GB SSD in an old AMD FX-6200 CPU system. In benchmarks, it gives speeds that are advertised, but in practice, they are considerably lower. This is probably due to the fact that my PC is old, so I can't blame it. Speeds are close to the EVO, the only downside is that it heats up quite a bit. More than the OCZ, which is almost 8 years old, and more than the WD HDD I have. This is probably the reason why it has a shorter lifespan than the EVO.

I have been using it primarily for gaming for the past 3 months and I am fully satisfied, but I would not recommend it at this particular time.
During the pandemic, when the two most popular and reliable options for SATA SSDs (860 EVO, MX500) were priced at over 30 euros more, this one was a good choice. Now you can find the MX500, or even some NVMe options, for a little extra money, so there is no reason for someone to buy the QVO at this moment.
If it drops in price a little more, then it will be a good budget purchase. Of course, it is far better than other "low-cost" options.

I may have it only for a few days, but it has almost reached its storage capacity, so I believe I can write a review. First of all, it loads the Windows and applications that open at computer startup within a few seconds, the same goes for games. I am impressed with its speed, even though I had an SSD from Sandisk that was almost equivalent in terms of price in the previous system, I can say that there is a difference. Although my opinion may change over time, at this moment it is worth more than anything else. After a month and a half of use and with 300 GB of free space, the times it takes to boot up are:
40 seconds when I press the power button on the power supply and 26 seconds normally with a shutdown. I have no issue with the above numbers because for its price, it is very good, but the next one I will probably get will be a 500GB Samsung Evo because it has done a good job with SSDs.

Even if you absolutely need a 1TB SATA 2.5" disk for a laptop, it's not worth it as a purchase. Because given that a SATA/M.2 enclosure for a laptop or a bracket for a PCI slot along with a 1TB M.2 only cost an additional 15 euros and you get 4 times better performance if it's installed in PCI, so what's the reason to get a slower disk? No matter what SSD you put in SATA, you will get the same performance because the bus terminates it. Not to mention that at any time because the M.2 is connected to an adapter, so I can have more connection options or put it later in another computer. Although I love Samsung, this one is very expensive for the capabilities it offers. If it was up to 60 euros, we could discuss it. But 110 euros for SATA in today's era? No way. Get an M.2 enclosure to make your money worth it.

I bought this specific one for program storage and mainly for game installation. It is indeed slower than a Samsung 860 Evo by about 15%, which I knew when I bought it, but it doesn't bother me. It also has a shorter lifespan than an 860 Evo, but that doesn't bother me either. The main difference, however, is in the price. The 860 Evo was 150€ and the QVO was 109€ when I bought them. For the work I needed them for, the 860 Evo 1TB wasn't worth it, so I got this one. It reaches the speeds mentioned by the company. In terms of temperatures in my machine, it stays at a constant 35 degrees in a full tower case. If you don't want something cheap and good in these TBs, get this one, it's very good. But if you want to have perfect performance and you want them for the main purpose, get the 860 Evo.

Perhaps one of the best investments one can make with 100 euros. Affordable for its capacity, but it has very few speeds to envy from the same company's EVO. For use as a game library, I don't believe there is a better option out there.

When I built my system, the prices of SSDs were still quite high. With about 65€, I bought an Intenso 240GB. If someone today needs to add storage space (like me) or build a system, this is the solution they are looking for. 1TB, about 100€, reliable and performs as advertised. I would like to emphasize that if someone is not a professional or PC enthusiast, they do not need an NVMe SSD, this one does everything perfectly fine.

It's been only a few days since I installed it on a Dell Inspiron 1760 laptop (from 2010 with an i3 processor of that time and 4GB RAM) and the laptop is "flying". It feels like it's an i7 with 8GB RAM and brand new. The price is around $100, it's definitely value for money. I will come back with an update after some time, although I don't think its performance will decrease.

The disk was purchased for use as a steam library and various other game installations. The read and write speeds are as advertised and obviously very satisfactory.

As Samsung manufactures highly reliable and durable SSD drives, it is pleasant to see that this particular model is one of the most cost-effective solutions for this capacity, with features similar to those of the 860 EVO, but at 75% of the price.

I have had it for 2 weeks now. I got it for extra storage, previously I had the EVO 850 256 GB. The migration was very easy with Samsung's software. I don't see any difference in speed, it is just as fast as the EVO. At 1 TB, it is a value for money choice, I recommend it

I have the EVO as well and in real conditions I haven't seen any difference in speed. Both are extremely fast.

I got it for my PS4 Pro and I changed it.. I won't say much else, but for me it's worth it.. there are differences in the times.

The 860 QVO is the budget version of the classic EVO. Slightly lower speed (which is not noticeable in practice), slightly shorter warranty (3 instead of 5 years), slightly lower total writes (which are still sufficient for normal use), etc. Now whether it is worth it or not depends on the price difference they will have.
