Description

The 7Artisans 25mm F1.8 lens is a manual wide-angle lens designed for use with cameras featuring an APS-C sensor. Ideal for reportage and everyday photos that require good image quality.

The brightness of the maximum aperture f/1.8 offers the freedom to work in challenging lighting conditions and facilitates the creation of images with limited depth of field. The lens offers excellent plasticity in photos, effectively separating the main subject from the background and creating a pleasant bokeh effect thanks to the aperture construction, which includes 12 blades.

The optical design of the lens includes 7 elements, organized into 5 groups. The elements are coated with numerous surfaces that help reduce bright reflections, ensuring appropriate contrast and accurate color reproduction. The 7Artisans 25mm F1.8 is particularly compact and well-constructed.

This review is about the mount: Micro Four Thirds (MFT)

It is one of those lenses that has character, it is satisfactorily sharp, it reminds me of an old lens both in colors and in its bokeh, it focuses from a very close distance. It works like an old lens since it is analog without contacts and electronics. I use it for videos and photos, with GH5, it has a distinct more natural image, and not so digital (video-like) like many modern lenses, which I personally really like. Overall, it is a lens that makes me want to play around with it, and for the money, it is incredible.

This review is about the mount: Sony E

If you don't need automatic focus, etc., there is no reason to spend a fortune on a lens.
Lightweight, good construction but the shape is not very convenient for handling.
I would like the focus wheel to be less sensitive so that I can better play with the details.
However, since it doesn't need to change focus 90% of the time it's in operation, it's not particularly bothersome.
For amateur use, it is a very good choice.
