In the first cycle of the Literary Walks (Kastaniotis, 1999), conversations held by Kostis Bastias with well-known poets and prose writers (such as Grigorios Xenopoulos, Pavlos Nirvanas, Miltiadis Malakasis, Kostas Varnalis, Angelos Sikelianos) in the early 1930s were gathered, intended for the magazine Evdomas.
This book, which constitutes the second cycle of the Literary Walks, gathers conversations and articles by Bastias not only about literary figures but also about prominent painters, sculptors, composers, playwrights, as well as thinkers and politicians whose work was a milestone in the Greek social and cultural reality of the 20th century.
Yiannis Psycharis, Georgios Papandreou, Dimitris Glinos, Alexandros Papaplastiou, Yiannis Apostolakis, Nikos Kazantzakis are some of the personalities featured in these Literary Walks whom Kostis Bastias met, creating, as in the previous book, a treasury of valuable testimonies regarding the movement of ideas and various forms of art in Greece over the past century.
