The Byzantine monuments form a large chapter of the architectural wealth of our country. The churches, centers of worship still alive today, are both remarkable and characterize the art of (...).
However, this is not a simple recording of monuments. Systematic research is conducted using strict scientific methods to investigate the unique architectural characteristics of these churches in the Greek region during the 12th century. It also highlights the fact that these monuments and their architectural composition and form are generally characterized as the "Hellenic school." When one takes into account the fact that very few written testimonies have been preserved for the history of the Greek region during this period, these churches acquire even greater significance (...).
