A gripping story of an Armenian refugee, Paul Tsorbatzian, who came to Greece from Lebanon in 1985 during the Lebanese Civil War with his parents, his Armenian father Arakel and his Greek mother Katerina. He married Vicky Ortantzoglou, a Greek-Australian English teacher, and they had three children: Antonis, Katerina, and Christina. However, fate played a cruel trick on him, and while he escaped the bullets and bombs of the Lebanese Civil War, he was struck by the cursed disease known as Multiple Sclerosis. The book describes the dramatic efforts of the couple to heal Paul, who resorts to all means, including conventional medicine and other alternative forms of treatment. It also describes the illness known as Multiple Sclerosis and its consequences for the patient and his family, an autoimmune disease that is globally prevalent and that could knock on your door tomorrow. A novella that, among other things, refers, through Paul’s dramatic life story, to a significant historical event of the last century: the uprooting and Genocide of the Armenians.
