Eugène Trivizas is an explorer and magician. He has discovered the land of Furfurmberg, Eggland, Pepperland, the Land of Yawning, the Land of Mud People, Moussoulândia, and the eighth color of the rainbow. He lives on the Island of Fireworks with Poukipon, his white elephant, and Cynthia, his parrot. On the Island of Fireworks, there are volcanoes of fireworks, a forest with flowers, three paper confetti waterfalls, a river with butterfly fish, a cave with secrets, and a meadow with four-leaf clovers. His best friend is Captain Bartholomew Borffin, the whale rescuer. Together they travel far on a whale rescue ship, saving whales, bulls, princesses from dragons, and dragons from princes. When he explores unknown countries and lost islands, he drinks cherry juice with ice cubes made of dew drops, plays basketball with his white elephant, and writes fairy tales whispered to him by Cynthia. Any child with questions about unknown islands or lost treasures can write to him, and Pele, the postal pelican, will deliver the letter to the Island of Fireworks.
