Locanda is the hotel of sleep and food, somewhat like our own pensions. In such a locanda, the comedy unfolds: a setting that reminds us of the "Babylon" of Byzantium.
Only here, the main character is a woman, the charming and graceful Mirandolina (her name means "wonderful little one"), and all the action revolves around her. Almost all the male characters in the comedy are connected to her, while the two actresses enter to facilitate the action.
The two lovesick men are given the opportunity to briefly distance themselves from the Innkeeper, just enough time for her to wrap around the "Sir Knight." Only this "savage man" has fallen into this situation from another world, where initially, straightforwardness reigns, but then swords and daggers take precedence at the first transgression.
Fortunately, the Innkeeper manages to find protection at the critical moment, and thus the play does not turn into a romantic drama.
