The theme of the series is interesting for young children, as are the characters. However, I believe that they are not particularly well-written, resulting in the clever wordplay and plot being lost in the wording. We have read all the books in the series; the children laugh at some points, but I need to explain some others to them.
Η θεματολογία της σειράς είναι ενδιαφέρουσα για τα μικρά παιδιά, όπως και οι χαρακτήρες. Ωστόσο θεωρώ ότι δεν είναι ιδιαίτερα καλογραμμένα με αποτέλεσμα τα έξυπνα γλωσσικά παιχνίδια και η πλοκή να χάνονται στη διατύπωση. Έχουμε διαβάσει όλα τα βιβλία της σειράς, τα παιδιά γελάνε σε κάποια σημεία όμως χρειάζεται να τους εξηγήσω κάποια άλλα.
The author and the illustrator have done a very good job. The introductory page that mentions all the characters helped the child (2.5+) to become interested in their adventure and look for them within the pages of the fairy tale.
Personally, as an adult, the story didn't thrill me and I don't like that they create new words (pitsichla, pitsoupa, etc.) but it doesn't matter what my opinion is, the child likes it! They ask for it on their own and learned the characters and the strange words in just a few days (4-5).

Η συγγραφέας και η εικονογράφος έχουν κάνει πολύ καλή δουλειά. Η εισαγωγική σελίδα που αναφέρει όλους τους πρωταγωνιστές βοήθησε πολύ το παιδί (2.5+) να ενδιαφερθεί για την περιπέτεια τους και τους αναζητά μέσα στις σελίδες του παραμυθιού.
Προσωπικά, ως ενήλικα, η ιστορία δε με τρέλανε και δε μου αρέσει που δημιουργούν νέες λέξεις (πιτσιχλα, πιτσουπα, κτλ) αλλά καμία σημασία δεν έχει η δικιά μου θέση, αρέσει στο παιδί! Το ζητάει μόνο του και έμαθε τους πρωταγωνιστές και τις περίεργες λέξεις σε πολύ λιγες μέρες (4-5).
Despite being relatively young at 3 years old, our little one is obsessed with it and we now read it every day. In the end, we got all the books in the series and we always read them all together!
Παρότι μεγάλη σχετικά ιστορία για παιδί 3 χρόνων, ο μικρός μας έχει τρελαθεί και το διαβάζουμε πλέον καθημερινά.
