Description

The magnificent work of K. Marx began with the ambition to consist of four volumes. Marx was unable to see his work completed and finished. He managed to publish the first volume, while the remaining two were published under the editorship of Engels. The fourth was published after Engels' death under the title Theories of Surplus Value.

The purpose of the work was to examine in depth and breadth, in their historical evolution, all the relations of capitalist society, to study the phenomena that developed in the economic base of society. In Capital, the theory of surplus value is developed, along with the emergence and development of the joint-stock company, which adapted capitalist relations of production to its social character without overturning individual ownership of the means of production.

The joint-stock company was the form of individual ownership that accelerated the concentration and centralization of capital to enormous dimensions. Based on the joint-stock company, monopoly developed, the era of monopoly capitalism, and subsequently its explanation with Lenin's theory of imperialism.

The joint-stock company is the cell upon which the stock exchange developed, the separation of the capitalist from the management of production, the parasitism of capital, the extensive export of it, phenomena that are presented by the bourgeois and opportunistic theoretical approach as "ultra-modern" at the end of the 20th century.

In Capital, the decay of capitalism is scientifically established, and the inevitability of the socialist revolution is laid out. The significance of studying this work by every new communist is enormous. Despite the difficulties in studying a truly scientific theoretical work, the familiarization of young communists with it is by no means a wish.

There are chapters such as those on industrialization that possess noteworthy popularizing writing, aiding more than any contemporary work in understanding today’s phenomena that are distortedly interpreted by bourgeois theory.
