While working on "The Medical Writings of Aeschylus," I found myself needing to translate the relevant passages for a more accurate commentary on the medical references found in the poet's tragedies.
The Agamemnon as well as the Seven Against Thebes are works rich in medical references, which remain unexamined by scholars.
This endeavor was also the reason for translating the entire tragedy of Agamemnon, as, while discussing my writing activities in Ancient Greek Medicine with the publisher Emilios Kalliakatsos, I mentioned the "Medical Writings of Agamemnon" to him.
This means that the idea of translating the work is his, but the responsibility entirely rests with me.
