A well-known story in a unique edition! "The Little Match Girl," one of the most popular and most translated works of the great storyteller, is now available in a rare "artistic interpretation" by Czech illustrator Kveta Pacovská.

Inspired by contemporary creators such as Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, and Joan Miró, Pacovská (born 1928), after studying European avant-garde, began illustrating books. She draws, paints, and creates collages, exploring the relationship between text and image.

Kveta Pacovská has illustrated over 60 books and regularly participates in international exhibitions. In 1992, she was honored with the Hans Christian Andersen Illustration Award.
