However, a devastating war broke out, damaging his interests, and he was forced, while under persecution, to sell all his property for a piece of bread to an Armenian. This Armenian, a renowned goldsmith of his time, proved to be unlucky, went bankrupt, and within a few years transferred all his assets to a wealthy Jewish banker who owed him a lot. But then a new, even greater war broke out, and the family of the Jewish banker was expelled forcibly, and since then, no one has seen them again.
