The atmosphere of the work and the space in which the plot will unfold is distinctly Venetian; the small square, the café, and its surroundings are the true protagonists of the work.
However, the person who will shine in this space is the Neapolitan aristocrat Don Marcios, one of the most complete characters in theater of all time. His sharp tongue is spontaneous; he doesn't speak ill from interest or necessity. He looks at everyone through his model and sees them distorted.
My characters are human, they are lifelike, perhaps even real, but I chose them from the indiscreet crowd of people, and by chance, someone may recognize themselves in them. Whenever something like this happens, it is not my fault how the sad character (Don Marcios) resembles the possibly malicious one – it is the malicious one's fault how, seeing the character I present, they think that their self is my target.
