"Kill your mother while she is still young," says the surrealist and communist Paul Éluard, one of the greatest poets of the century that ends with the death of the Soviet Union. May her memory be eternal.
She was a good mother to all of us communists around the world, whom we loved, some out of party duty, others out of moral obligation, and others out of momentum due to our love for Marx. We had to kill our mother while she was still young and innocent. It is good to remember the dead as innocent.
Unfortunately, we killed her when she was 74 years old and had sinned greatly. (...) Since everything dies, poverty that breeds revolutions must also die; communist and others. Poverty stinks, even when embalmed.
This is what Marx believed, who did not believe in God, which is a balm for the desperate. Marxism is an attempt to answer questions as old as the mummies of pharaohs.
