This review is about the edition: Standard

Original game with humor, moral lessons, and a long gameplay duration, nice graphics. It is not intended for adults over 30; in my opinion, they will find it very "childish" since the story involves school kids trying to magically change the bad behaviors of adults. It is ideal for children as long as they know English since the subtitles are in English and Japanese; the battles, although they keep you tense, have no gore and no swearing is said during the game. The three stars are due to the fact that at some points the game does not give you options for how to proceed in your day, while at certain stages to level up you have to do the same things over and over again, which is time-consuming and boring; also, at a critical point, I couldn't save, and when I restarted, it took me back a long way. It is supposed to have autosave, but those are very few in the game; you have to save at every opportunity because you never know what might happen in the next few minutes.

I am a player with no particular experience with JRPGs and turn-based combat other than Pokemon games.

My first experience that has now become an obsession is with the Shin Megami Tensei series and specifically with this game. I have played a total of 180 hours, currently on NG+ and completing unfinished tasks from the first playthrough.

The story is flawless. The music is flawless. The gameplay is incredibly enjoyable.

    P.S.
Am I the only one who gets chills and tears up from excitement when "Life Will Change" starts playing?

The Royal deserves 5/5 with a tone. This game unexpectedly proves to be the hero we don't deserve but need! It is an epic that rightfully belongs in the top 5. An excellent scenario further enriched with many characters, locations, and plot. Literally endless hours of gameplay (150+), with artistic visual beauties, awesome themes, and enriched soundtrack. The challenges, the opportunity for exploration, character interaction, and many other aspects are just a few of its many facets! An epic that tackles many contemporary social problems, delivering beautiful and correct messages. Definitely a must-play for fans of (j)RPGs but also for those who prefer story-driven games that offer hours of exploration and experimentation with different battle strategies and persona creation. A game that literally has it all and is worth every penny! The definition of value for money.

Awesome gameplay, missions, and above all visual effects. Very well managed difficulty (you understand that at some points things are difficult and you need to find another way). Additionally, I must add that the fighting scenes and overall combat mechanics with enemies are flawless. Lastly, we must not forget the amazing background music of the game. I highly recommend it, even if you haven't played games in this series, it will offer you countless hours of gameplay!

A masterpiece of its generation and one of the best jRPGs of all time. Unfortunately, I didn't know about the series before the 5th one, but now I declare that I follow them fanatically! Those of you who love strong stories and well-written scripts, don't miss it (whether you like jRPGs or not).

The P5r is the definitive edition of Persona 5, just like Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 Golden were. However, the changes that the game mainly made to the endgame and some intermediate parts do not justify the new full release, and an add-on DLC would have been enough. Nevertheless, the game still remains a 9/10 and an excellent JRPG.
