In the distant Trenindad, a sly and cunning Tunnel Dragon with a massive mouth that resembles a tunnel deceives, entraps, and swallows one little train after another, spreading panic among their parents.
When Chouf Chouf, the little train, turns five years old and adds its fifth car, a beautiful car in cherry red with mint-colored stripes, it decides to enter the dark mouth of the Tunnel Dragon to find its good friend Wagon Li and its lost friends, Tsaf Tsaf, Tsif Tsif, Tsif Puf, Pif Pif, Paf Tsaf, Puf Chouf, Tsaf Paf, and Puf Tsif.
A wild birthday party ensues in the belly of the Tunnel Dragon, making him bitterly regret his uncharacteristic behavior.
Tunnel Dragon: From a tunnel and dragon. A type of dragon from the genre of train devourers. If you see one out in the countryside, notify the stationmaster immediately. If you are inside a train and see a Tunnel Dragon, immediately pull the danger signal (before you start screaming).
The trains in Trenindad each year roll out a new car, just like children lose baby teeth. The ancient trains have one hundred cars.
Eugene Trivizas is an explorer and magician. He has discovered Furfurmberg, Eggfryland, Pepperland, the Land of Yawning, the Land of Mud People, Moustoulanda, and the eighth color of the rainbow.
He lives on the Island of Fireworks with Pukipon, his white elephant, and his parrot Cynthia. The Island of Fireworks has volcanoes of fireworks, a forest of gerberas, three paper confetti waterfalls, a river with butterfly fish, a cave of secrets, and a meadow of four-leaf clovers.
Eugene Trivizas’s best friend is Captain Bartholomew Borfins, the whale rescuer. Occasionally, they embark on long journeys aboard a whale rescue ship, saving whales from whalers, bulls from bullfighters, princesses from dragons, and dragons from princes.
Whenever he’s not exploring unknown lands and lost islands, Eugene Trivizas drinks cherry soda with ice cubes made of dewdrops in his garden, plays basketball with his white elephant, and writes fairy tales whispered into his ear by Cynthia, the parrot.
Any child with questions about unknown islands, lost treasures, or white elephants can write to him, and Pele, the mail pelican, will deliver the letter to the Island of Fireworks.
