Manolis, more than anything else in the world, wants his own circus. But it's not easy at all! When he asks the zoo keeper to gift him a giraffe, a camel, and some penguins, the heartless keeper refuses. However, Manolis doesn't give up. He heads out to the countryside, hoping to find a tiger or at least a hippopotamus there. No matter how much he searches, he finds neither a tiger nor a hippopotamus! Despondent, he sits by the side of the road and starts to cry. And then, unbelievably, strange and unfamiliar creatures begin to parade one after another in front of him. First, a seven-colored snail, then a piper from which yellow butterflies flutter, and soon a black snowman with popcorn for eyes and jasmine for buttons! Following are the clown with the chewing gum bubbles, the glowing silkworm, and Benjamin Chima Chima Abembabloom, who will comfort him, take care of him, and offer him the most beautiful gift he could ever imagine!
Eugene Trivizas is an explorer and magician. He has discovered Furfurmberg, Eggfryland, Pepperland, the Land of Yawning, the Land of Mudpeople, Musmelonland, and the eighth color of the rainbow. He lives on the Island of Fireworks with his white elephant, Poukipon, and his parrot, Cynthia. The Island of Fireworks has volcanoes of fireworks, a forest of daisies, three waterfalls of confetti, a river with butterfly fish, a cave of secrets, and a meadow of four-leaf clovers.
Eugene Trivizas's best friend is Captain Bartholomew Borfin, the whale rescuer. From time to time, they embark on long journeys together on a whale rescue ship and save whales from whalers, bulls from bullfighters, princesses from dragons, and dragons from princes. Whenever Eugene Trivizas is not exploring unknown lands and lost islands, he drinks cherry soda with ice cubes made from dew drops in his garden, plays basketball with his white elephant, and writes fairy tales that are whispered in his ear by Cynthia, the parrot. Any child who has a question about unknown islands, lost treasures, or white elephants can write to him, and Pele, the postal pelican, will take the letter to the Island of Fireworks.
