Today, a new system has been established that massively abolishes work. It restores the worst forms of domination, enslavement, and exploitation, forcing everyone to fight among themselves to obtain the work that it abolishes.
What we must hold against the system is not the abolition of work, but that it maintains, as an obligation, as a rule, as an irreplaceable foundation of rights and dignity for all, that same work, the rules of which it abolishes, along with dignity and access.
We must dare to exit from the society of work. It no longer exists and will not return. We must seek the death of this society, which is experiencing its death throes, so that another can be born from its ruins.
We must learn to discern the outlines of this other society behind the resistances, dysfunctions, and deadlocks that constitute the present. Work must lose its central place in the consciousness, thought, and imagination of all: We must learn to see it with a different perspective.
We should not think of it as what we do not have anymore, but as what we do. We must dare to pursue the redefinition of work. We must dare to part with this dying society that will not be reborn.
