Vitex minium primer is a solvent-based anti-corrosive primer for metal surfaces, formulated with alkyd resins and anti-corrosive pigments. Its formula protects against oxidation and adheres to metal. The product is lead-free and suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
Before application, clean the surface with T 300 Brush Thinner and sand it with suitable sandpaper. Stir the primer thoroughly and apply one or two coats with a roller or brush, thinned by 5% with T 300 Brush Thinner, or with an airless spray gun, thinned by 5% with T 350 Spray Gun Thinner. It is touch-dry in 45–60 minutes and can be recoated after 20–24 hours. Once fully dry, sand the surface, remove the dust and apply a Vitex water-based or solvent-based enamel. Apply at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C and at relative humidity of up to 80%. Clean tools with the appropriate thinner, then wash rollers and brushes with soap or detergent.
