Durostick DS-255 primer is ready to use and has an acrylic base with quartz aggregates and performance-enhancing additives. It provides adhesion even on very smooth surfaces, is resistant to alkalis and acts as a barrier against penetrating moisture without preventing buildings from breathing.

It is used on construction materials where traditional spatterdash render has difficulty adhering, such as extruded or expanded polystyrene used to insulate building façades. It is also applied before D-6 cement mortar in the COOL ROOF roof waterproofing and thermal insulation system, and before DS-250 and DS-254 IRON pressed cement coatings on tiles, marble or terrazzo, and DS-252 FLEX on floors made of marine plywood or thoroughly cleaned sheet metal. It is also suitable for substrates with underfloor heating.
