Durostick DS-255 primer is acrylic-based, ready to use, and contains quartz aggregates and performance-enhancing additives. It improves adhesion on smooth surfaces and substrates where traditional scratch-coat plaster has difficulty bonding, such as expanded and extruded polystyrene. It is suitable for interior and exterior surfaces, as well as substrates with underfloor heating.

It also offers alkali resistance and acts as a barrier against rising moisture without preventing buildings from breathing. It is used before applying cement screeds and trowel-applied cementitious coatings on substrates such as tiles, marble, terrazzo, marine plywood, and thoroughly cleaned sheet metal.
