The MENTORING of educators, through a focus on programs and methods that require their active participation, the creation of a collaborative culture, and the development of reflective processes, is presented in this specific book through a model of Group Collaborative Mentoring (G.C.M). The application of the model constitutes an effective process for supporting and developing educators, highlighting the school unit as a strong agent of voice and action.
VENETIA KAPACHTSI is a graduate of the Department of English Language and Literature at A.U.Th, with a specialization in pedagogy from the University of Edinburgh and holds a master's degree in "Organization and Management of Education" from the Department of Educational Sciences and Early Childhood Education at the University of Thessaly. In 2011, she was awarded a doctorate from the University of Thessaly. She also holds a postdoctoral degree from the University of Macedonia.
Her research interests include issues of Organization and Management of Education, evaluation, and professional development of educators. Since 1995, she has worked in Public Secondary Education, and since 2011, she has been the Principal of a Secondary School. She has served as a scientific collaborator at ASPETE and the University of Macedonia. She is the author of the books: a) The Evaluation of the Teacher's Work. Attitudes of Greek Secondary Education Teachers towards Evaluation and b) The Self-Evaluation of the School Unit. A Developmental Process.
She has published in Greek and international scientific journals and has presented at Greek and international conferences.
