Islanders from Cephalonia and others venture into nearby or distant seas carrying goods, hopes, and dreams, but often the return to the island is the result of serious loss and destruction.

The same feeling is experienced by foreign sailors who are forced to approach Cephalonia, declaring the damage they have suffered from the raging sea. From the central Ionian Sea and the Gulf of Corinth, the anxieties emerge and peak in the vastness of the Mediterranean, but there are also anchorages where the hopes of the weary sailors rest.
