Description

The understanding of Paul is not simply a matter of "reasoning." It is not about forming an opinion about Paul or praising his work.

The everydayness of our lives distracts us, and the perceptions of our time, which scorns the spirituality contained in his profound discourses, distances us from his work, as well as from him.

We need to emerge from the demands of our age and see Paul with the eyes of a knowledge that is always present yet eludes us.

We must listen to what he says and strives to apply, what he calls upon his brothers in Christ to do.

Paul cannot be approached unless there is an inner silence on our part, without the mind intruding awkwardly, so that his voice may be heard more clearly.

Let all those voices within us that urge us in other directions be silenced in our effort to provide explanations or categorize his words before they settle within us.
