My experience with these specific gaiters was very bad. I bought 2 pairs, one for myself and one for a friend. In both pairs, the wire or strap that goes under the boot and holds the gaiter in place broke. In my pair, the wire came off as soon as I put them on for the first time and tried to tighten the strap. In my friend's pair, the fabric strap came off from the joint on the first day after 3 hours of hiking in the snow. It's the worst thing to be betrayed by mountaineering equipment when you're in the mountains with 2 meters of snow. The fabric quality seems okay, but the joints, straps, etc. are unacceptable. Never again.

They are worth every penny until the last cent. They protect you from low branches and moisture, they do their job very well!

I used them for hiking in the snow and the wire underneath broke. Besides that, the way you tighten them is not practical at all. They don't tighten easily and at the same time they come loose easily too.

I used the gaiters for walking in about 50 to 60 cm of snow for approximately 5 hours. My shoes didn't get wet, so they did their job. However, the photo differs somewhat from the reality, at least in the gaiters that I received. The gaiters do have a wire rope, which is definitely a positive feature. They do not have the fastening at the top of the gaiter, and the fastening at the bottom of the gaiter is not with a clip but with a pin, which is not as practical when fastening them. Other than that, the gaiter is good and worth its money.

Testing the product on a 3-hour snow hike was very good. Perhaps the front tying end should be slightly larger or have an extension to provide more protection in case water enters the boot from the top side where the laces are.
