I had everything. I lacked nothing. Sea, land, sky, all mine. Did I want something? I would reach out one hand and take it. In the other, I held a thunderbolt. With it, I could electrify anyone I wanted. People and gods feared and respected me. Because I am Zeus, father of gods and men. People believed in me deeply. They also called me Xenios, meaning god of hospitality. Without them, I would be nothing. I would almost not exist. That is also the reason why I loved them. And I still love them, as much as I love the sea, the mountains, and the air we all breathe, gods and men alike.
