The poetess resiliently sanctifies her desires in the night hours. She breathes reflectively, hopes stubbornly, loves, lives, and most importantly, writes poetry. Poetry of reckoning, perceptive, authoritative poetry, uncompromising, always standing in a state of combat, but also poetry that has served in the west of sorrow and in the east of joy.
The poetic voice of Panagiota Zalonis has engaged contemporary literary thought for quite some time and in multiple ways. Her cultural and literary journey is evergreen and robust. She herself is multifaceted, thriving, industrious, and tireless. Poet, author, the founding figure of the Literary Group "ZALONIS-clear sky," editor of the literary magazine "Kelana," and visual artist, these are some of the traits that characterize her and the corresponding subjects she passionately and undauntedly engages with.
Her footprints smell of freshness from the Euboean waves, with her vessels taking us on journeys through her poetic seas. She dedicates herself entirely to the vision her soul has been nurturing for years. And it is nothing other than poetry. Her poetic bounty is fresh, clear, and full. Her confessional threads, written in her guts, open and heal liberating old and new wounds, visible and invisible.
At times, the poetess breathes closely, and at other times, she becomes a runner. Sometimes she identifies with the light, and at other times, she exorcises her darks. Her pen is a boat tied to the sounds and flashes of her life. For Panagiota Zalonis, her romantic harbor is poetry which, with the suitable words as frigates, sails through time for hospitable and wide-stridden straits. A harbor with oscillations on scaffolds of love. And her share is rich from her valuable harvest.
