The Makita is more powerful with the same characteristics but it lacks reliability for professionals. The cheaper ones are good for amateurs but this one is a beast to enjoy, the motor turns smoothly without vibrations, a characteristic of Makita cutters, smooth. Just heavy-duty, but I believe it is better in quality than Bosch, Dewalt which I have worked with, thanks, really. However, because it is heavy, in case of a kickback, it may not hit you as hard in the face.

    I have used it to cut walls, drywall, alpha blocks, and cement coating. Even without a diamond disc, it cuts very well. At some point (which is logical due to its size), the nut got stuck and I loosened it with a vise. Very powerful, it really has a soft start, it's not very handy both because of its size and weight, but for this kind of work that means sturdiness, which you want. Very good, I would obviously buy it again, great for its price, I have no experience with either cheaper or more expensive ones.

It is unfortunate, in my opinion, that some people mention the weight, as when you want to use a tool for the tasks it is intended for, it is practically impossible to find a lightweight tool, because simply it has not been manufactured yet. Makita is one of the most reliable companies in all of its products, so I consider that this specific wheel at this price is the best choice, regardless of its use (amateur or professional).

    I bought a dexter 230mm and I was cutting cement and floors into dust. I cleaned it well but within a year the axle broke. The Makita is more powerful with the same characteristics but it lacks reliability for professionals. The cheaper ones are good for amateurs but this one is a beast to enjoy, the motor turns smoothly without vibrations, a characteristic of Makita cutters, smooth. Just heavy-duty, but I believe it is better in quality than Bosch, Dewalt which I have worked with, thanks, really. However, because it is heavy, in case of a kickback, it may not hit you as hard in the face.
