A valuable manual containing seven studies-proposals that have been drafted in accordance with terms and rules of adherence to and respect for academic and scientific ethics, only maintaining some reservations regarding the proposal from Matilda Karatziou-Mariotzeanu, who hails from Samarina in Pindus.

This scientific and academic ethics is completely absent from most professional scholars of Vlach and Romance studies, historians and linguists, folklore and ethnology researchers, philologists and ethnographers in our country, who have dealt or are dealing with the specific issue of 'Armanians-Vlachs'. With very few exceptions, most modern Greek writings that tackle this issue are far from being characterized or recognized as scientific.

This position of mine does not automatically imply acceptance of all the positions-opinions expressed by the particular authors in their studies-proposals. I believe that their positions-opinions have been shaped based on the bibliographic sources and documents they invoke and have studied.
