The crisis manifested itself through the deep and complete political integration of all parties into a single, homogeneous system without internal conflicts, which mainly took place after 2008 when Greece became trapped in the stranglehold of the memoranda.
The consequences of this development are manifold, but all are characterized by a regressive element. The profound rupture between political society and civil society, the historical defeat of the labor movement, the unfree backwardness of state institutions, the ongoing process of intellectual conservatism, the general disintegration of the social fabric, and finally, the traumatic phenomenon of the retreat of democracy.
