Description

In the current edition of Media Law, the new legislative regulations and amendments to the existing legal framework for the media are included, alongside new scientific contributions and any significant developments in case law.

The work consists of twelve parts, the first four of which are dedicated to the constitutional dimension of the media (Press, Radio and Television), the legislative regulation for the Press, the National Broadcasting Council (ESR), and public television and radio (ERT S.A.). The fifth and quite extensive part concerns private television and radio, including private free-to-air television and radio, digital broadcasting, subscription broadcasting, and the transactional obligations of electronic media.

The sixth part addresses the timely issue of journalistic research, including the constitutional guarantees and limits of journalistic inquiry, the right to personality as a limit to the freedom of information search, as well as other relevant aspects. The work continues with the following parts, where issues such as the right to personality, the economic exploitation of elements, advertising, intellectual property rights, and broadcasting market enterprises are analyzed.

A separate part is devoted to cinema, emphasizing the constitutional dimension and legislative regulation, as well as the relationships between producers and intellectual creators. In the eleventh part, issues of the internet and its subjection to the constitutional provisions for the media, social networks, and electronic newspapers are developed. The work concludes with the twelfth part, which refers to the labor relations of journalists.
