The Cretans did not come to Crete by God's bidding, nor did they sprout from the ground like wild herbs and greens. They started from somewhere else and were heading elsewhere when they encountered Crete on their path and settled there.

They all gathered and looked at Crete together. And then they discovered that, where it was situated in the Mediterranean, it resembled an aircraft carrier. However, airplanes had not yet been invented. Their time would come. Because, as everyone interested in controlling the Eastern Mediterranean would say, I'm not just sitting around waiting for the invention.
