The trilogy that the author has written makes you wonder how he thought of all this, it is science fiction presented through the positive sciences but everything is so plausible that you believe that this is how things will happen someday, it almost proves it within the story (like a proof in mathematics, but not with numbers simplified). At the same time, many social, political, cultural, and mainly philosophical issues are raised that are not so obvious to the reader right from the start; one must pay attention to discern them beneath the story of the trilogy. A reading choice that will not disappoint anyone, I appreciate.

Η τριλογία που έχει γράψει ο συγγραφέας σε κάνει να απορεις πως τα σκέφτηκε όλα αυτά , είναι επιστημονική φαντασία δοσμένη μέσα από τις θετικές επιστήμες αλλά όλα είναι τόσο αληθοφανή που πιστεύεις ότι έτσι θα γίνουν τα πράγματα κάποτε , σχεδόν στα αποδεικνύει μέσα στην ιστορία ( όπως μια απόδειξη μαθηματικών , αλλά όχι με αριθμούς εκλαϊκευμένη) . It is remarkable how he manages to advance so far into the future and in technologies, composing them in such a solid and believable way. When you read it, you think this is how human civilization will evolve in the distant future; it convinces you.
What I would have liked more was for him to have dedicated more time to more detailed descriptions regarding the impact of all these events on the masses of people on Earth, how they experienced them, because we are talking about shocking changes.

What I liked:
I was impressed by the vast scale of the narrative and the philosophical dimension of the book. The author manages to blend science fiction with deep ideas about evolution, technology, and ethics. The escalation of the story is gripping and constantly offers surprises, while the cosmological imagination and descriptions of advanced civilizations elevate the imagination.
What I didn't like:
However, the length and detailed analysis of scientific theories made some parts tiresome. The characters often take a back seat to the ideas, resulting in a lack of emotional connection in certain sections. Also, the pacing is not always steady; some slow segments reduce the intensity.
Conclusion:
Despite its weaknesses, The End of Death is an epic and exciting conclusion to the trilogy, challenging the reader to see humanity from a new, cosmic perspective. It is a work that will remain in my memory for its boldness and originality.
Το Τέλος του Θανάτου, το τρίτο και τελευταίο μέρος της τριλογίας Οι Αναμνήσεις του Παρελθόντος της Γης, αποτελεί ένα συγκλονιστικό φινάλε σε μια από τις πιο φιλόδοξες σειρές επιστημονικής φαντασίας. Ο Λιου Τσιξίν παίρνει τον αναγνώστη σε ένα ταξίδι που ξεπερνά τον χώρο και τον χρόνο, θέτοντας ερωτήματα για το μέλλον της ανθρωπότητας, το σύμπαν και την ίδια τη φύση της ύπαρξης.
Τι μου άρεσε:
Με εντυπωσίασε η τεράστια κλίμακα της αφήγησης και η φιλοσοφική διάσταση του βιβλίου. Ο συγγραφέας καταφέρνει να παντρέψει την επιστημονική φαντασία με βαθιές ιδέες γύρω από την εξέλιξη, την τεχνολογία και την ηθική. Η κλιμάκωση της ιστορίας είναι καθηλωτική και προσφέρει συνεχώς εκπλήξεις, ενώ η κοσμολογική φαντασία και οι περιγραφές προηγμένων πολιτισμών απογειώνουν τη φαντασία.

Παρά τις αδυναμίες του, το Τέλος του Θανάτου είναι ένα επικό και συναρπαστικό κλείσιμο της τριλογίας, που προκαλεί τον αναγνώστη να δει την ανθρωπότητα από μια νέα, κοσμική οπτική. Πρόκειται για ένα έργο που θα μείνει στη μνήμη μου για την τόλμη και την πρωτοτυπία του.
The book is wonderful, the conclusion of the trilogy was somewhat disappointing I would say, but this gives in a way even more value to what was said in the content of the trilogy as a whole. The trilogy that the author has written makes you wonder how he thought of all this, it is science fiction presented through the positive sciences but everything is so plausible that you believe that this is how things will happen someday, it almost proves it within the story (like a proof in mathematics, but not with numbers simplified). At the same time, many social, political, cultural, and mainly philosophical issues are raised that are not so obvious to the reader right from the start; one must pay attention to discern them beneath the story of the trilogy. A reading choice that will not disappoint anyone, I appreciate.
Το βιβλίο είναι υπέροχο, η ολοκλήρωση της τριλογίας ήταν κάπως άδοξη θα πω , αλλά αυτό δίνει με ένα τρόπο ακόμα περισσότερη αξία στα όσα ειπώθηκαν στο περιεχόμενο της τριλογίας συνολικά . Η τριλογία που έχει γράψει ο συγγραφέας σε κάνει να απορεις πως τα σκέφτηκε όλα αυτά , είναι επιστημονική φαντασία δοσμένη μέσα από τις θετικές επιστήμες αλλά όλα είναι τόσο αληθοφανή που πιστεύεις ότι έτσι θα γίνουν τα πράγματα κάποτε , σχεδόν στα αποδεικνύει μέσα στην ιστορία ( όπως μια απόδειξη μαθηματικών , αλλά όχι με αριθμούς εκλαϊκευμένη) . Παράλληλα θίγονται πολλά κοινωνικά, πολιτικά, πολιτισμικά και κυρίως φιλοσοφικά θέματα που δεν είναι όμως και τόσο εμφανή στο αναγνώστη ευθύς εξαρχής, πρέπει να δώσει προσοχή κάποιος για να τα διακρίνει κάτω από την ιστορία της τριλογίας. Μια επιλογή ανάγνωσης που δεν θα απογοητεύσει κανένα, εκτιμώ.

850 satisfying pages of pure science fiction with action, suspense, twists, descriptions, character building, and philosophical existential questions about the beginning and the end of humanity and the universe-time.
The author's style remains consistent with the previous two books of the trilogy.
It is remarkable how he manages to advance so far into the future and in technologies, composing them in such a solid and believable way. When you read it, you think this is how human civilization will evolve in the distant future; it convinces you.
What I would have liked more was for him to have dedicated more time to more detailed descriptions regarding the impact of all these events on the masses of people on Earth, how they experienced them, because we are talking about shocking changes.

Hint: I particularly enjoyed and was left with the "interruption" of the 3 fairy tales and how they were integrated into the plot and the development.

Είναι αξιοσημείωτο πως καταφέρνει να προχωρήσει τόσο πολύ χρονικά στο μέλλον και στις τεχνολογίες, συνθέτοντας τες με τόσο συμπαγή και αληθοφανή τρόπο. Άμα το διαβάσεις νομίζεις ότι έτσι θα εξελιχθεί ο ανθρώπινος πολιτισμός στο μακρύ μέλλον, σε πείθει.
