Description

Learn how to connect, design, and play with the basic Grove sensors, actuators, and Arduino.

All modules are pre-wired on the PCB, simply connect the Arduino Board to the Shield and start your measurements!

The Arduino Sensor Kit is designed for makers who have just started using Arduino to explore the vast world of electronics and programming. This kit teaches you how to connect and program the basic Grove modules that include sensors and actuators.

Grove is an open-source toolset, configured and ready to use, and follows a structural approach to electronic assembly. This kit includes the Base Shield on which the various Grove modules can be connected either individually or together in various combinations to create fun and exciting projects. All modules use a Grove connector, which connects each component to a Base Shield in seconds. The Base Shield can then be placed on an Arduino UNO board and can be programmed using the Arduino IDE. Instructions for connecting and programming the various units are also included in this kit.

This kit was created in collaboration with Seeed Studio and provides the Arduino community with the opportunity to build projects with minimal wiring and coding effort. This kit serves as a bridge to the world of Grove and provides a flexible way for Makers to expand their projects to include other complex Grove modules.

The kit includes access to an online platform with all the instructions required for connecting, sketching, and playing with the different Grove modules.

Contents

  • 1x Base Shield designed to fit on top of an Arduino UNO board. It comes equipped with 16 grove connectors, which, when placed on top of the UNO, provide functionality to various pins. It includes
    • 7x digital connections
    • 4x analog connections
    • 4x I2C connections
    • 1x UART connection
  • 10x Grove modules are included and can be connected to the base shield, either through the digital, analog, or I2C connectors on the shield. Let's take a quick look at them:
    • The LED - a simple LED that can be turned on or off or dimmed.
    • The Button - a button that can be in either HIGH or LOW state.
    • The Potentiometer - a variable resistor that increases or decreases resistance when the knob is rotated.
    • The Buzzer - a piezo speaker used for generating binary sounds.
    • The Light Sensor - a photoresistor that reads the intensity of light.
    • The Sound Sensor - a small microphone that measures sound vibrations.
    • The Air Pressure Sensor - reads air pressure using the I2C protocol.
    • The Temperature Sensor - simultaneously reads temperature and humidity.
    • The Accelerometer - a sensor used for orientation, used for motion detection.
    • The OLED Display - a display where values or messages can be printed.
  • 6x Grove Cables that allow you to easily connect the modules to the Base Shield without soldering
