According to Gibbon, the Ancient Religion had declined by that time and had lost its direction. Almost daily, a new God was added, originating from other peoples. This volume provides a detailed account of the actions of Diocletian - with the persecutions - as well as other co-emperors until the time of Constantine, when the situation changes. Dozens of details based on sources from a historian that no one in Greece has published for so many years.
