Description

The book "My Greek Vegan Food" will guide you through the healthy, plant-based side of Greek cuisine, featuring a variety of traditional and contemporary vegan recipes offered by Eva Monocharis. It is a book that aims to introduce Greek cuisine to a global audience as the vegan dietary choice.

Greek gastronomy offers a rich range of dishes that contain no animal products, are environmentally friendly, and fully aligned with the new global dietary trends.

Vegetables, legumes, cereals, fresh herbs, and excellent extra virgin olive oil have long been the foundation of Greek cuisine. A cuisine that respects seasonality, intuitively knows the best combinations, and is economical to prepare, using the freshest ingredients without compromising on taste and nutritional value.

This book contains 65 favorite recipes that you will enjoy preparing daily, with easy, step-by-step instructions that ensure success. It celebrates a cooking style that is immediately familiar to us: simple, understandable, original, and – of course – delicious. A cooking style beneficial for the soul, mind, and body. It is not aimed only at vegans but at anyone wishing to adopt a healthier and more ecological lifestyle and achieve a more nutritious and balanced daily diet without sacrificing any flavor or aroma.

Delicious creations based on olive oil, fluffy pies, fiber-rich legumes, healthy salads, tasty appetizers, homemade breads, aromatic spreads, classic Greek dishes in a vegan version, and traditional sweets compose this practical and contemporary "green" anthology of Greek cuisine.

  • Can it keep someone creatively occupied for a considerable amount of time?
  • I would recommend it for purchase

  • Blind purchase that turned out to be a diamond! Simple recipes that can be modified, of course. Some well-known favorites and some more original ones. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw recipes for fanouropita and koliva in the desserts (which many people snub), and exactly how they are traditionally made. The only thing missing was a strong recipe for oven-baked potatoes, but I hope for the next edition, as there are dozens of vegetarian dishes in Greek cuisine. Very good recipes and an ideal book for a gift in Greek, English, or French.
