The space-time in the work of N. Kavvadia (mainly in the collections `Poussi` and `Traverse`) is presented as completely expanded, open to transgressions and displacements, since the imaginary and the supernatural encounter the realistic and permeate it, the transcendent subverts logic and its dominance; even the boundaries between life and death appear vague.

At the same time, however, the space-time of Kavvadia's poetic universe appears to readers as personal and familiar: the distant and the exotic coexist with the immediate and the specific, the unknown with the familiar, the different with the native, the past permeates the present; all are expressions of human anxiety and quest, of the universal fate.
