In this text, we will provide a brief presentation of the path, in theory and application, of the views of Ahmet Davutoğlu, as they appear in his work, "Stratejik derinlik. Turkiye'nin Uluslararasi Konumu", Kure Yayinlari, Istanbul 2004 (2001) and in the corresponding translations of parts of these texts by colleague Prof. Konst. Gogos, as well as in the corresponding translation of this specific work by the publishing house "Poietita" in 2010.
We will present the existing ideological Islamic and neo-Ottoman background before this, as well as the main political supporters at the level of Turkish political power. Then we will present the main points of his geopolitical approach, which move in the sphere of classical geographers/geopoliticians of the German and Anglo-Saxon schools.
Finally, we will conclude with the general highlighting of those points, the size of the subsystem, of Davutoglu's geopolitical and geostrategic approach, which, in the light of systemic geopolitical analysis, are considered geopolitically dangerous for Greek national interests.
This text will serve as a stimulus for a deeper and more comprehensive study of Davutoglu's work in the near future.
