Year 2001. The thinker Fokas Koresios, at the twilight of his life and withdrawn from all publicity, decides to accept the invitation of director Aspas Pampleki to make a documentary about his life and work.
He begins his narration from his childhood, in the early 1930s: the oppression from his pro-fascist military father, the strict framework imposed by family protocol, his unruly, libertine teenage life, his enlistment in the Metaxas Youth and subsequently in the ranks of the EAM.
After liberation, he and the woman of his life find themselves as scholars of the French Institute in Paris, where they mingle with the circle of existentialists and surrealists, and he evolves into a mentor of philosophical thought.
Consciously and under the weight of his unbearable guilt, he makes the director his confessor and reveals to her his deeply hidden secrets, even his crimes up to reaching the pinnacle. Thus, he presents her with the dilemma of whether she will serve historical truth or continue the historical falsehoods by circumstance.
