There is no Mythology enthusiast of Cthulhu, lover of Lovecraftian writing and student of Cosmic Horror who can ignore the -very significant, for this particular literary genre- contribution of Frank Belknap Long. Born in 1901 in New York, Long showed his writing talent and his love for the themes of the bizarre and the paradoxical from a very early age. Already in his late teens, he will slowly start publishing in amateur literary magazines, and in 1921, with his story "The Eye Above the Jackie", he will catch the attention of the great Howard Phillips Lovecraft. The two men will come into contact, and since then they will be connected by a close friendship that will last uninterrupted until Lovecraft's death.
