It is 1959, in the middle of August. In a HLM area of Bobigny, at the gates of Paris, two comic book writers are wiping the sweat from their brows. Not just because of the summer heat: the two friends are sweating to come up with a character idea. They must be ready for the first issue of Pilote, a new magazine for youth that will be released in three months. The writer's name is René Goscinny. His friend, the illustrator, is Albert Uderzo. They had considered adapting the Roman de Renard, but someone else thought of that first. So, they search, but find nothing... Until Goscinny has the idea of a small Gaul with a mustache and honor. Well done: Asterix is born. And, along with him, a great publishing success that becomes a social phenomenon.
