The book is terrible regarding the examples it provides. If a child hasn't even had the idea in their mind that they might be afraid of the dark or that they don't want to be around a lot of people, etc. (all the examples are almost unfortunate), it confuses them and makes it happen to them from the moment they read it. The little kids for whom the book is supposedly intended, that is, two-year-olds, are at a highly sensitive age regarding these things and cannot evaluate the content and understand that, for example, "okay, I am not afraid of the dark, but someone else is, so that's fine." The next time they find themselves in the dark, they will start thinking that if someone is afraid of it, there must be a reason for it, and thus it begins to spin in their minds. Both of my children were negatively affected. Completely inappropriate overall. Fear could at least be connected to something that is not part of a baby's daily life. For example, I am afraid to go on the amusement park ride, I am afraid to climb the tree so I don't fall, etc. For the love of God, let's not put our hands in our eyes with things from our everyday life. Some of the texts don't make sense, especially for a small child aged 2-3, so I have to paraphrase the words and say my own in order for the child to understand. The book is terrible regarding the examples it provides. If a child hasn't even had the idea in their mind that they might be afraid of the dark or that they don't want to be around a lot of people, etc. (all the examples are almost unfortunate), it confuses them and makes it happen to them from the moment they read it. The little kids for whom the book is supposedly intended, that is, two-year-olds, are at a highly sensitive age regarding these things and cannot evaluate the content and understand that, for example, "okay, I am not afraid of the dark, but someone else is, so that's fine." The next time they find themselves in the dark, they will start thinking that if someone is afraid of it, there must be a reason for it, and thus it begins to spin in their minds. Both of my children were negatively affected. Completely inappropriate overall. Fear could at least be connected to something that is not part of a baby's daily life. For example, I am afraid to go on the amusement park ride, I am afraid to climb the tree so I don't fall, etc. For the love of God, let's not put our hands in our eyes with things from our everyday life. Even children who have such fears are not helped as it offers no solution. It simply confirms the emotion.
Το βιβλίο είναι κάκιστο ως προς τα παραδείγματα που δίνει. Αν ένα παιδάκι δεν του έχει μπει καν η ιδέα στο μυαλό ότι μπορεί να φοβάται το σκοτάδι ή ότι δεν θέλει να είναι με πολύ κόσμο κλπ κλπ (είναι όλα τα παραδείγματα σχεδόν ατυχεστατα) το μπερδεύει και το κάνει να του συμβαίνει από τη στιγμή που το διαβάζει).
Τα παιδάκια για τα οποία προορίζεται υποτίθεται το βιβλίο δηλαδή τα διχρονα είναι σε μια άκρως ευαισθητη ηλικία ως προς αυτά τα πράγματα και δεν μπορούν να αξιολογησουν το περιεχόμενο και να κατανοήσουν ότι πχ "εντάξει εγώ δε φοβάμαι το σκοτάδι αλλά το φοβάται κάποιος άλλος οπότε οκ".
Την επόμενη φορά που θα βρεθεί στο σκοτάδι θα αρχίσει να σκέφτεται ότι για να το φοβάται κάποιος, κάποιον λόγο θα έχει και έτσι ξεκινάει να του γυρνάει στο μυαλό. Επηρεάστηκαν αρνητικά και τα δύο παιδιά μου.
Εντελως άστοχο όλο. Ο φόβος θα μπορούσε να συνδεθεί με κάτι τουλάχιστον που δεν είναι στην καθημερινότητα ενός μωρού.
Πχ φοβάμαι να ανέβω στο τρενάκι του λούνα παρκ, φοβάμαι να σκαρφαλωσω στο δέντρο για να μη πέσω κοκ.
Για όνομα του θεού να βάζουμε τα χέρια μας και να βγάζουμε τα μάτια μας με πράγματα της καθημερινότητας μας.
Ούτε καν τα παιδιά που έχουν τέτοιες φοβίες δεν τα βοηθά καθώς δεν δίνει καμία λύση. Απλώς επιβεβαιώνει το συναισθημα.

Από 2 ετών έχουμε άλλα της ίδιας σειράς (Οικογένεια, Κάνουμε φίλους) που είναι πολύ καλά! Τώρα είναι σχεδόν 3 αλλά το συγκεκριμένο βιβλίο δεν το θεωρώ κατάλληλο. Μπορεί να μπερδέψει το παιδί, να το κάνει να ντρέπεται ή να νιώθει άβολα για πράγματα που δεν υπάρχει λόγος. Ίσως για μεγαλύτερη ηλικία να είναι εντάξει...
