Pennyroyal Essential Oil (Mentha arvensis Herb Oil)

INCI Name: Mentha arvensis oil

The essential oil of pennyroyal (wild mint) is obtained from the flowers and leaves of the Mentha arvensis plant through a steam distillation process. The color of the essential oil ranges from clear to light yellow, and its aroma is strong, fresh, and cool.

• In ancient times, pennyroyal essential oil was used to prepare remedies believed to help with coughs and colds, headaches, as an insect repellent, and for use in baths.
• It is used in creams and ointments that leave a cooling sensation on the skin and is believed to combat muscle and physical fatigue.

Safe usage: Do not use essential oils on the body without a carrier oil. Use almond oil, jojoba oil, etc., in a ratio of 10ml (carrier oil) to 5 drops of essential oil.
