A TELEVISION SUPERPRODUCTION BY AMC IN COLLABORATION WITH APPLE TV

An immense underground silo has become the last refuge of a small community of people, the only survivors of a mysterious catastrophe that has turned the entire Earth into an ecological hell. The residents of the underground settlement have established unbreakable laws that ensure the survival of the social unit, until the day the sheriff of the silo breaks the greatest taboo of all: he decides to go outside, to the surface of the devastated planet...

This fateful act brings to light questions that no one had thought to ask until then: What is really out there? Who created the silo? What are the true reasons for the draconian laws governing the tiny community? Jules Nichols, the new sheriff, takes on the task of unraveling the web of dark secrets and confronting the terrifying truth.

SILO was first self-published as an e-book and within months reached the top of the best sellers, attracting the interest of established film directors and television networks. Having received rave reviews, SILO has become a global publishing phenomenon, a stunning glimpse into a dystopian future where anything can happen.

Nice book, different from the classics.
However, it tires with pointless descriptions of landscapes and situations without really offering anything of substance with this extra knowledge. It could easily be minus 150 - 200 pages.

The ending is very silly and abrupt, especially when it has prepared you for something very special.

I would normally give it 3 stars but I will give it 4 for the author's creativity.
