The aim of this book is not to compile a systematic study of Fr. Ioannis, nor to provide a critical assessment of his work and evaluate his theological contribution. This has already been done satisfactorily by Professor Andrew J. Sopko in his excellent monograph on Fr. Ioannis titled: Prophet of Roman Orthodoxy (Armos, 2020).

Our objective is to gather representative texts that reveal the person of Fr. Ioannis and embody his theology. Some speak about Fr. Ioannis, and he responds to all of us with his well-known theological fullness and precision.

Thus, the mark of his presence in our theological sphere becomes clear, as he has opened new paths in dogmatics, history, and worship towards the authentic Orthodox Roman tradition for approximately fifty years.
