The 50-year-old patchworker enters an mismatched marriage with a young woman. Soon, troubled by her whims and evident vanity, he will leave the village.
The patchworker will be forced to transform their home into an inn to survive, while hoping for her husband's return.
In the second act, this same tired and disappointed patchworker, disguised as a puppeteer, will return to the village and emerge as a dominant figure, until the reunion of the couple is achieved, revealing that they are deeply connected by love and faithful devotion.
