Like fire, just like fire. These were the first words the hypnotized boy murmured. A man is brutally murdered in the locker room of a sports center in Tumba, Stockholm. Shortly after, the bodies of his wife and daughter are discovered, both stabbed by someone who intended to annihilate the entire family. However, the son has survived, although severely injured.
Yuna Lina, a crime investigation police inspector, learns that the family has one more surviving member, the boy's older sister, and realizes that she must find her before the murderer does. The boy intermittently comes out of the stupor he is in. In his attempt to expedite the interrogation process and gain an understanding of the event, Yuna Lina contacts Dr. Erik Maria Bark and convinces him to hypnotize the boy. Erik Maria Bark breaks the promise he made never to hypnotize again, thus starting a chain of breathtaking events.
