There are three thematic cores in the Odyssey. The first is the "Telemachy," which is the action of Telemachus, the son of the central "hero" of this epic, the mythical king of Ithaca, Odysseus. The second is what is presented at the beginning of the epic, in its prologue: the adventures of Odysseus on lands and seas, in a ten-year journey from his departure from conquered Troy to his arrival in his homeland, without finally reaching there with his companions. The third is the "suitor slaughter," which is the punishment of the suitors of his wife Penelope, after his twenty-year absence from Ithaca.
Our edition has been sent to the libraries of all middle and high schools in the country, has enriched many private libraries, and now, enriched with the original text, makes its third journey into the broad realm of book lovers both within and outside the levels of our education system, having received warm acknowledgments of its quality.
