I have had them for about 4 months and I have taken amazing photos with these filters. The most important thing for me is the lens protection they provide, so you don't have to worry about the lens getting dirty or the child leaving fingerprints on it. I also found the ND filter very convenient in case of bright sunlight. However, I don't consider it something you need to buy right away. Personally, I recommend getting lenses for your camera and experimenting with them first, and if you want and believe they will give you something more, then get filters as well.
