The plot of the Iliad revolves around the anger, the "wrath" of Achilles and what happened because of it. The events of the Trojan War narrated in the Iliad take place in the tenth year of the war and unfold in approximately 51 days. The whole plot unfolds in 51 days and three nights. During this time, the poet creates opportunities to refer to previous events and narrate them as well.
